Amazon: A genuine inroad into the black?

Northfinder’s expected key move was to expand its presence on the Amazon platform. After entering, however, everything changed. Instead of the anticipated profit, it not only did not generate a profit but even showed a loss.

As followed from the results, Northfinder urgently needed to rethink and optimise its approach to Amazon administration in order to ensure its long-term effectiveness.

A detailed audit of strategic decisions

The solution came in the form of a detailed audit. This move exposed hidden opportunities in Amazon that Northfinder was not yet taking advantage of. The major changes included:

  • Revision and modification of listings: Each product listing was re-evaluated and modified to make it more attractive, not only in terms of content, but also visually. The aim was to improve the presentation of products and make it easier for customers to make decisions.
  • Implementation of a sellerboard: The new reporting system provided an overview of key metrics and enabled more effective monitoring of performance.
  • Optimisation of PPC campaigns: Paid advertising campaigns have undergone a complete transformation. By adjusting strategies and targeting, costs were reduced while the effectiveness of ads increased.

Results of the cooperation

The changes brought stunning results. In the period from May to October 2023, Northfinder recorded a year-on-year increase in turnover of 106%. The share of cost in turnover was halved to 35%, which signals a major improvement in efficiency.

What’s more, the revenue generated from organic traffic on Amazon grew by 294%.
